On the tours , some of which cross borders, you can discover picturesque half-timbered houses typical of Upper Lusatia, learn about the region's textile history and explore and enjoy the diversity of the Nautur.

... and through the Czech border region.

The Czech routes stretch from Bohemian Switzerland to the Giant Mountains. On the varied routes, you can explore Liberec with the family, go hand-biking along the Elbe and in the border triangle, explore castles and palaces, walk through the relaxing Khaatal valley or hike to the source of the Elbe in Harrachov.

Barrier-free adventure routes

The routes were created as part of the German-Czech project "Travel for people with disabilities", funded by the European Regional Development Fund, Free State of Saxony - Czech Republic 2014 - 2020.

The individual routes extend from Upper Lusatia, the German-Czech border region via Bohemian Switzerland to the Giant Mountains near Harrachov. The scenic region also has many a cultural and architectural highlight to offer. Whether it's a leisurely stroll through the city, a visit to a castle or museum, a sporting challenge or simply relaxing by a lake - you can enjoy your trip without barriers on the certified routes.

Objective:	Creation of 12 barrier-free adventure routes and presentation in a specially developed mobile app/web app as well as the formation of a cooperation network for the exchange of experiences for travel by people with disabilities.

The project is funded by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund, from the Cooperation Program Free State of Saxony - Czech Republic 2014 - 2020.
